Welcome to our website devoted to our little girl Olga. She needs your help. Olga was born on the 24th of July 2008 and has been struggling with high temperature and seizures ever since. From that day Olga's story is one of medicines, treatments, tests, visits and more medicines. Until at the age of three months she was diagnosed with the terrifying West Syndrome - the most severe form of epilepsy which prevents a child from developing, and in 50 percent of the cases results in the child's death before the age of two.
More than a year has passed and we have been struggling alone for the life of our child. We have tried everything. Every month Hospital n 7 in Minsk "Mother and Child" would become our home while Olga underwent all possible treatments and visits. Expensive medicines from the EU were ordered in (the needed medicines are not available in Belarus). With our last savings we sought treatment for Olga in Russia, but unfortunately without success. As a last resort, we found a clinic in Germany capable of performing expensive brain surgery yielding in certain cases exceptional results.
Witnessing the daily ordeal of our little girl is unbearable. Seizures often strike 10-15 times a day lasting about 10 minutes each. Believe us, as parents there is nothing more excruciating than having to witness the slow destruction of a loved one. Yet we have no right to despair. We have found a glimmer of hope to save our little girl and we have faith in the humanity and kindness of people to give our Olga a chance to live!
